Your primary weapon has been charged to an axe, a sword and a dagger that do not downgrade when you loose hearts. Instead of hopping islands between chapters, you are now going between different time periods.

Plot

Mike Jones and his Uncle Steve have returned to San Fransisco to examine some mysterious letters found on the meteorite found in the first game. While uncle Steve is working on this Mica the oldest of the Argonian children from the first game contacts Mike telepathically and unlocks his psychic abilities. Meanwhile Uncle Steve has figured out that the inscription has something to do with a book called "Oxford Wonder World". After chanting the incantation Mike is sent back in time and must retrieve the mystical tetrads from different time periods.

Virtual Console

The game was rereleased on the Virtual Console on December 29, 2008 in North America and on July 10, 2009 in Europe and Australia.
