Zero is one of the three protagonists in the Mega Man X series, the other two being X and Axl. He is also the main character of the Mega Man Zero series.

Zero's Beginnings

He was a robot built by Dr. Wily to destroy Mega Man, but Dr. Wily never used him as he had the maverick virus, a virus that causes reploids to turn evil, so he sealed him in a capsule. He later was revived and was eventually was defeated by Sigma and the virus was passed to Sigma so Zero changed sides and eventually became one of the most skilled maverick hunters.
