Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon is one of the three The Legend of Zelda games made for the CD-I. Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon was released in 1993, the same day as Link: The faces of Evil. The sequel to Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda's Adventure was released for the CD-i in 1994. A 3rd party company, Phillips, got hold of rights to Zelda and Mario games and created these games. It can be considered Canon because Nintendo did not develop it. Due to disapointed Critic reviews This game can be noted for it's general negative reception. Although it is noted for having had better graphics then the previous Side scroling Legend of Zelda game , The Adventure of Link.

Plot

The plot of the game is a Hylian named Zelda is on a Adventure. She has left the kingdom of Hyrule in search of her Father the King of Hyrule. Her adventure takes her to a Land called Gamelon and she must figure out a way to defeat the Evil Ganon and rescue her father.

Gameplay

The Faces of Evil uses the side-scrolling introduced in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. The controls were widely criticized as confusing and very uncomfortable.

Trivia

Both CD-i titles were the subject of an episode of The Angry Video Game Nerd.
