Yoshi's Cookie - Kuruppon Oven de Cookie (JP) is a Super Famicom video game released in 1994 with only 500 copies. The title, a remake of Yoshi's Cookie, was released as a promotional item for Panasonic's Kuruppon Oven. This game was developed by National Human Electronics with Nintendo's permission.
The gameplay is very similar to that of the original, though new features such as an overworld that Yoshi can traverse were inserted. Today, the game goes for around $2,000 overseas in Japan.
Development
It is presumed that Yoshi's Cookie was chosen due to its cooking theme, which would fit perfectly with Panasonic's oven. The game is a direct port, however, holding the same cut content from the original.
