Yo-kai Watch 2 is a role-playing game for the 3DS and a sequel to Youkai Watch. It released in two versions: Ganso and Honke. A third expanded version called Youkai Watch 2: Shinuchi was released in December to tie in with the first movie in Japan. When it was localized in Fall 2016, the subtitles were Fleshy Souls and Boney Spirits.

Honke and Ganso have a Gold and Silver box art. This is a callback to Pokemon Gold & Silver, which were also the second iterations of a big Japanese success. Shinuchi is also colored Blue like Pokemon Crystal
