Worms Armageddon is a strategy video game released in 1999 and 2000 for the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color published by Infogrames. It is the third entry in the Worms series. In 2024, Digital Eclipse remastered the game as Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition for the Nintendo Switch including the Game Boy Color version and a museum for the history of the Worms franchise.

Gameplay[]

The game, like most of the entries in the series, is 2D strategy game where each player controls a team of Worms that each take a turn to use a weapon that can destroy the terrain. The goal is to eliminate all members of the enemy teams by bring their health down to zero or knocking them into the water. Each team can have up to 8 Worms.

The game also features a campaign with alternate objectives like grabbing a crate.

The new remaster is based on the PC version with console controls. The game also has online multiplayer to play with friends.

The game includes emulated port of the Game Boy Color version at launch. An early 2025 update added Worms for the SNES and Genesis as well as Worms World Party for the Game Boy Advance.
