World Ice Hockey is a game for the Game Boy released only in Japan in 1991. It was never released in North America. World Ice Hockey was the first actual ice hockey game created for a Nintendo handheld gaming system.
Gameplay[]
The game allowed the player to play a Tournament or an Exhibition game. There was also a save option so the player could come back later to continue the game.
As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team.
Teams[]
Since this game was not licensed by any professional hockey league, the teams to select in the game were different countries.
