The Wooden Shield is the most common shield in The Legend of Zelda series. It is flamable, but repels simple attacks well. In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, only Young Link can use the Wooden Shield. Adult Link uses the Hylian Shield. When a Wooden Shield is destroyed, whether it be from fire or from a Like Like, Link can purchase a new one at a shop or upgrade to a more powerful shield.
