Winky's Walkway is the sixth level in Donkey Kong Country and the first level of the world, Monkey Mines.
In this level, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong will not face any tough obstacles or hazards, but they will meet a newly introduced Animal Buddy, Winky. Winky can jump at high lengths in this level and is able to help the Kongs to reach Bananas and Bonus Levels, Defeat enemies that the Kongs can't defeat by themselves such as Zingers. This level also marks the first appearance of a newly introduced enemy, Oil Drum. These enemies can shoot out enemies such as Slippas at the Kongs. Other than Oil Drums, this level also contains Gnawties, Kritters, Neckies, and a single Zinger. This level is known to be one of the shortest levels in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and the Game Boy Advance versions of Donkey Kong Country, but not in the Game Boy Color version, due to the level being extended.
Trivia
- This level is the only level that is extended in the Game Boy Color version of Donkey Kong Country. It mysteriously turned back to its regular length in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country.
