We're Back! is a Game Boy game released in 1993 and developed by Beam Software and published by Hi Tech Expressions. Whilst the US version was based off the 1993 film We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story, the game was released featuring a different IP in other regions and published by Laser Beam Entertainment: Baby T-Rex in Europe, Agro Soar in Australia, and Bamse in Sweden.[1]

A fifth version was in development based off the BBC show Edd the Duck for the UK, but was canceled.[1]

Plot[]

This version of We're Back far differs from its Genesis and SNES versions. The player takes control of Rex and must save his three dinosaur friends, Woog, Dweeb and Elsa, from Prof. Screweyes who has imprisoned them in his castle and it is up to Rex to save him. There are 16 levels in all, ranging from jungles and caves in prehistoric times, fighting off various bad guys such as pterosaurs and other dinosaurs while avoiding obstacles and pitfalls scattered throughout the levels. There are also power-ups to replenish health and obtain extra lives.
