"Watt's with Wattson?" is the 40th episode of Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, and the 316th episode of Pokémon the Series. It first aired in Japan on August 28, 2003 and in the United States on September 4, 2004. It is the season finale of Pokémon Advanced.
Plot[]
Ash Ketchum's third Gym battle with the electric master Wattson is full of surprises when, after an encounter with a robotic Raikou, Pikachu wins the match alone with super-charged Thunderbolts. However Ash's joy at receiving the badge disappears when Pikachu turns ill, and a depressed Wattson leaves Mauville City convinced he is a weak Gym Leader.
