Wartortle is one of Template:PKMNcount Pokémon. They are a water type of Pokémon that evolve from Squirtle. It is a blue turtle that has furry ears and a long thick tail. It is unknown why Wartortle has hair, while the other two evolved and devolved (which includes Squirtle and Blastoise) don't. Much like a regular turtle, Wartortle can hide in it's shell (it's tail will stick out the back).

Appearances

Pokémon series

Wartortle can be obtainable in every Pokémon video game. They first appeared in the first generation of video games for the Game Boy. They would later be obtainable without the need to transfer in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver by choosing Squirtle and evolving it.

Super Smash Bros. series

Wartortle has not appeared in the Super Smash Bros. series as of yet though has been mentioned in the trophies for Squirtle and Blastoise in the GameCube game Super Smash Bros. Melee.
