Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (also known as WB Games) is the video game division for Warner Bros. that handles licensing and distribution of games based on Warner Bros. properties as well as owning a few developers.
History
The company was established in 1993 as Time Warner Interactive after Warner Bros. acquired Atari Games. Time Warner would soon sell Time Warner Interactive to WMS Industries while holding onto the name Warner Bros. Interactive.
As Warner Bros. Interactive, the company started to license out video game properties starting with Batman Forever but, it wouldn't fully fund and publish themselves until 2007 with Justice League Heroes.
In January 2017, Warner Bros. announced it acquired Avalanche Software from Disney Interactive, along with all their software. The studio has so far only released Cars 3.
