Videoland is a fictional dimension that is the setting of Captain N: The Game Master and its tie-in comics. In Videoland, video games and video game characters are real, and Kevin Keene ends up there after being sucked through his television set while playing video games.[1][2]

Known worlds[]

  • The Palace of Power - The castle at the center of Videoland, where Princess Lana reigns in the absence of her father, King Charles.
  • Metroid - The floating asteroid that serves as the hideout of Mother Brain. It is not to be confused with Planet Zebes.
  • Mount Icarus / Mount Olympus - Kid Icarus' homeland.
  • Megaland - Mega Man's homeland.
  • Castlevania - Simon Belmont's homeland.
  • Kongoland - The home island of Donkey Kong and his family, nowadays known as Donkey Kong Island.
  • Punch-Out!! - A gym world in which the boxers from Mike Tyson's Punch-Out‼ do their training.
  • Hyrule - The main setting of The Legend of Zelda series.
  • Zebes - The main setting of the original Metroid game, which does not appear in the cartoon, but is seen at least once in the comics.
  • Video-Town - A city that everyone in Videoland travels to, known for its recreation center where any sport that's played in a video game is played. This city appears only in the comic story "A Dog's Life".
  • Planet RX-338 - A maximum security prison planetoid originally built by an evil emperor named Suimar to imprison anyone who opposed his rule. After he was overthrown, the Galactic Federation began using it to imprison Videoland's most dangerous villains. This location appears only in the comic book story "Breakout".
  • Garbageworld - A world where all the trash in Videoland ends up. This location appears only in the comic book story "A King of Shreds and Patches".
