Nice job!

You seem to know a lot about retro characters!   Bentendo  Talk

Kid Icarus images

I noticed that you seem to have quite a few images for Kid Icarus, among other retro games. Just wondering, do you have any images for the following Kid Icarus enemies:

I was planning to make articles for those enemies, and having images for them would really help out. Even if you don't have many of them, if you could at least find one of the Reaper, that would be great, seeing as he's one of the more infamous enemies from that game, next to the Eggplant Wizard. - BattleFranky202 21:22, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

One more thing, about the pictures at GameHiker, I can't really tell which enemy/item/character is which without labels, with the exception of the obvious ones like the Eggplant Wizard and the Reaper. Do you think you could help me out with some of them? - BattleFranky202 23:00, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

I've got an image request, or requests. First of all, I need an image of that Reaper boss from the Kid Icarus: Uprising trailer. Second, you wouldn't happen to have a sprite of the Reaper flipping out after he spots Pit from the original Kid Icarus, would you? - BattleFranky202 03:50, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Cannot access Gamehiker Gallery

Every time I try to go to Gamehiker's gallery, all that comes up is a blank page that says "fatal error : ". Do you know what that means? - BattleFranky202 05:06, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

I'm looking to find the Pluton and Pluton Fly artwork from Kid Icarus. Think you can find that? - BattleFranky202 15:30, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

Reply: Galleries

I went to the community site to address the issue to Wikia a few days ago only to find a large discussion on the subject already there. The good news is galleries can now be customized and we can make it so that the images are all one size. The bad news is, if I'm correct, we have to go to every page with a gallery and edit it by hand, meaning there's a lot of work ahead of us. I'll be willing to do it. Just give it time and it should be a-okay in a jiffy. --BentendoSmallLogo.png Talk 15:58, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I just did a test on Mario/gallery and the new customization tools are actually pretty cool, so I'm not as depressed about this as I was. If you want to customize something, just push "add photo" at the bottom of a particular gallery and you can do basically whatever you want with it. If you have any more questions post them on my talk page or here (doesn't matter where). --BentendoSmallLogo.png Talk 16:02, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
Welp. Now I have a bit of bad news. As far as I'm concerned, you can't increase the size of small images. So, this means on pages like Reaper, you aren't able to enhance the size of the sprites, making the image gallery look a bit weird. I'm going to try and contact Wikia about this and see if 1. there is anyway to change the size of smaller images or 2. if they're willing to allow people to do this in the future. Sorry for the wall of text! >.< --BentendoSmallLogo.png Talk 16:13, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely. I'm going to send a message soon, but knowing Wikia they've already got something planned. Currently they seem to be pretty focused on the image galleries so I'm hoping (and betting) that they're planning on making as many enhancements to the galleries as possible. The fact that it crops some of the images in the galleries is extremely unfortunate, and one that I'm betting we can already change... we just probably need to learn more about the issue and how to do it. I'm going to head over to the Wikia community page again and skim over some of the user comments to see what all of their opinion is on this, but I do know that some have already suggested creating an option to use the previous format, perhaps by inserting the code <oldgallery></oldgallery> or something of that sort. I'll get back to you whenever I learn something. --BentendoSmallLogo.png Talk 20:40, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Gallery update

Last night I sent an e-mail to Wikia regarding the galleries and received a reply today. I'll just copy what was in it:

"Hey Ben,

We understand that a good number of users are having issues adjusting to the new changes. We have made a few adjustments to the new code based on user's wishes and I would suggest you view the updated gallery and let us know if the tweaks we made have remedied your issues with the new gallery somewhat. In the interim, keep your eye on the staff blog as we are monitoring comments there and will post updates as to what we are doing. I know the project manager for the gallery has been reading those posts with interest; I have also passed your email on to him. On the sprite issue, I will ask him directly, that seems like an odd thing not to work right.

Happy Editing, Tim "daNASCAT" Quievryn"

If you want me to send anything else, then just say so. I also suggest you check the blog post HERE and voice your opinion in the comments section.

Reply: Pokémon

Hi! You're right on practically every point. Here's basically what we should probably do:

  • First, with the Pokémon category, you've got the right idea. Basically I guess when the category was created so long ago, the original creator intended for it to be the category where people add Pokémon species. Since then, however, a new category has been created titled "Pokémon species". I've been trying to remove the "Pokémon" category from every Pokémon species page sense the "Pokémon" category is now used for the series as a whole.
  • For the first-fifth generation games, I was at first split on whether we should use Pokémon a and b or blank generation games, but I've concluded that it's probably best if we use Pokémon a and b, since that is actually their first game while "blank generation" consists of a wide range of titles. The reason I at first used "blank generation" for games like Diamond and Pearl was because some of the Pokémon actually appeared in games before the main titles. For example, if I remember correctly Munchlax actually first appeared in Pokémon Dash. And since it was hard to tell which game was their first (and other sites weren't much help), I just took the easier route. The reason I used it for the first generation games was because I initially thought it would confuse some visitors when they saw "Red and Green" and remember it being "Red and Blue", but I guess if they just went and clicked the link it wouldn't be an issue.
  • Finally, regarding the creator/designer, I think your idea is the best route to take. I was really bothered every time I pressed "save page" not knowing fully who designed each Pokémon and whether or not Satoshi should be credited as the creator. The article you linked me to was really interesting by the way.

So, in conclusion, this is what we should do

1. Get rid of "Pokémon" category on Pokémon species pages and add "Pokémon species" category.
2. Instead of Blank generation games we should put their first game appearance/appearances
3. GameFreak as designer, creator blank.

Hmm, I didn't think of that. I think the National Dex should be just fine. The rest of the dexes can be placed somewhere else in the article. --  Bentendo  Talk 16:23, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

I can start clearing up the 4th Generation Pokémon pages after updating all the new 5th Generation Pokémon. I will also be updating the List of Pokémon by generation page to add all the new Pokémon. Many Thanks! --ShayminBoy 23:57, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
Cool! Thanks man! --  Bentendo  Talk 00:31, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
When clearing up the Pokémon pages, maybe we could use a page layout, similar to the Aipom page. The page seems clear enough and it gives enough info. You should check it out. --ShayminBoy 11:51, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks alot for your advice. You've been great! --ShayminBoy 15:27, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon moves

First of all, thank you so.freaking.much for cleaning up the Pokémon pages and making sure an article was created for every species. Second, regarding the Pokémon move pages, basically do whatever you think is right. I have noticed, however, that a few of the Pokémon move pages have "Pokémon abilities" as a category, which is obviously incorrect. I've deleted the ones I've seen, but I thought I'd just tell you in advance that you may encounter a few pages that are incorrectly labeled "Pokémon abilities". Thanks again for all of your awesome contributions. --  Bentendo  Talk 17:59, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Mistake

It's okay, no problem. I can't change it back just yet, since I'm not on the right computer, but later on today (if I can remember) I'll do it. Also, I'm not sure if this is what you wanted, but here are the correct sizes for each type of badge (again, not on the computer with the templates, so for now you'll just have to crop out the image in the center):

BRONZE STAR EXAMPLE
SILVER CIRCLE EXAMPLE
GOLD STAR EXAMPLE

It would be extremely hard not to use the appropriate frame when creating a new badge. Regardless of what you create, the badge they developed will always be placed behind the one you create (excluding, I think, the little image). I'm not completely sure if the background color is there if you use a transparent image since I created my own. I'm sure it is, but if that's the case I have to wonder if they also leave the image (such as the pencil, bridge, etc.) there too, which would mess up the entire badge. Do whatever you want: even if you screw up a few badges, it's okay since they're not really that important. If you can't manage to get one working, just let me know what you want in the badge and I'll try and create it, which I'm completely willing to do since I was going to create a few new images for the site anyway (new logo for SMB 25th anniversary, new badges, etc.).
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Sorry if I didn't explain it well (if that's the case, then at community.wikia.com there's several people who would be able to give a better answer). -- Bentendo Talk 16:25, September 10, 2010 (UTC)
Oh man, I don't have the templates on the computer I'm on right now. The computer they're on is really acting up (I have to charge the battery up separately and its touchpad isn't working properly), but I might be able to get them sometime tomorrow. -- Bentendo Talk 18:17, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I looked on my computer and I can't find the templates, so I'm assuming that they were accidentally deleted. I had my computer refurbished but I thought I placed them on my USB drive. Apparently I didn't. But I see that you cropped the images yourself, so that's good news (by the way the images you created are very nice). Sorry about all that. -- Bentendo Talk 17:40, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
You can use whatever color you want. -- Bentendo Talk 19:54, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, it's been a while since I asked you something like this, but do you think you can give me the official artwork for the boss Twinbellows from Kid Icarus? I still can't access that Game Hiker Gallery for some reason. Also, I believe Pit fights a boss that looks just like Twinbellows in the trailer from Kid Icarus: Uprising. Pokémon enemies likely shouldn't be deleted

You delete the page Pokémon enemies because "This page just doesn't seem to have a purpose, the individual teams have their own pages". This is true enough, but there is a Category:Enemies (http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Enemies) with such a page for each series now, except Pokémon as you deleted it. If people look for "Pokémon enemies" or check the Category:Enemies for Pokémon they will now find nothing - that's the purpose it served. It might be possible to add to each Pokémon Enemies page the Category:Enemies but there is no Category:Pokémon Enemies and that would also it would make it unlike the rest of the series. Anyway I'd say deleting it was the wrong thing even though the reason given is valid enough. Bcw142 16:07, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

Your message on my page

Well, speedy delete is so that there doesn't need to be the whole process of getting something nominated and all that. And while I do add to the pages, I also work well with templates and coding. So I basically do a mix. --ϐαςς ᴶαϟϟι20px 22:08, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and I saw you undid my edit to the gallery. I just wanted to say that galleries should be centered on the page, so that it's not pushed to the edge, it just looks better. And what's the policy on user images? --ϐαςς ᴶαϟϟι20px 22:10, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Copying

What if its stating facts which is what most of what im doing so how can that be not allowed since their facts.

I’ll admit that most of the stuff for the WWE GameCube games I put up was a bit of a copy from Wikipedia but if that’s not allowed I’d gladly remove it and just wait for someone else to do the same thing since from my experience a good 90% of people on these wikias just copy and paste word for word from Wikipedia.

Also on another note is it possible to move ECW Hardcore Revolution (N64) back to ECW Hardcore Revolution their isn’t much difference between the GBC and N64 versions to warrant different pages.-TheWho87™ 16:47, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

Well that’s pointless since you seemed to have jumped on everything I put up with said Wikipedia content. Please don’t take this as me coming off annoyed or anything its just I kept getting pop ups from here saying I had not been here in a while even though I never was here all my stuff was originally from nintendopedia or however it was. Also in a quick look about I noticed that some of the categories that have games by developers/publishers are on their on or just linked to the main developer/publisher category, wouldn’t it be logical to group them together, I only put together a couple and didn’t create the category fully but would this be something logical to add, only asking cause its something that’s on wikipedia yet logical to add here rather than having said categories lost. This is the category I’m talking about Category:Games by company. -TheWho87™ 17:02, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
Now this is getting stupid, you deleted both Snowboard Kids and Nagano Winter Olympics '98 claiming they were wikipedia copies, if they are indeed copies then you should delete everything else here since they only included the facts about the title with very little information on them except that about the developers, publishers, release date and such which I thought were information that should have been on this wikia. I‘ve know that stub pages are not great but if a stub at least has the facts its something to expand on, from the looks of it unless it’s a full article its open to deletion. -TheWho87™ 17:18, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
The only information in them was one sentence describing them in a style that I’ve seen and have on other pages, I didn’t expand on them since soon after you brought up the copying claim, I was planning on expanding on them I just wanted to sort the copying situation out first and you then go and delete them for what was no real reason other than a mass cleanup of my work for copying on pages unrelated to them. I only came back here cause I got messages asking why I was inactive and when I come back everything I’ve done gets removed or deleted, I understand and accept the copying situation and I really don’t want to come off as wanting to cause an argument but this is seriously getting petty. -TheWho87™ 17:44, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
Cool and as you might have seen I’ve been expanding some of the info, no offence but you got to understand that copying is unavoidable up to a point I’m not saying its good but there if there is limited info there its impossible to not copy to some extent. One thing I will say is I wont be copying full sections from places but some things are unavoidable.

This may sound weird but one thing I love doing is organising and I see your categories are all over the place, I might spend a few days organising things a bit, nothing drastic but to make it a little more cleaner. One I will start off for now would be games, there are loads of categories for company, consoles and generes so with these three they can all have one stop shop to find them.

Only problem is I have no clue what to call a group for all those beyond Games.

Also are their not games specific to the DSi so they would need a category too or has no pages for those games been made yet.-TheWho87™ 19:12, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

Affiliate with VG Wiki

Dear Ville10,

RE: Stub templates

Sorry about that, its how i tended to use stubs on other wikias.

On another note i've been going through the N64 games and alot of them seem to have been split into the main console and handheld versions, i know in some cases their totally seperate games but does it really need to be split if it just a port, i personally dont see the point especally as its something that could be added to the main page in a small section.-TheWho87™ 14:56, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

Well from what i've seen their mostly split with just the main N64 page and having a wanted page for handhelds so since im going to go through the N64 games i'll fix them as joint and will notify of any link changes needed.
In regards to Banjo-Tooie its how i have been doing the pages previous with games that came out over 2 years setting them to a category of the earliest releace year and since most pages only had one anyway i thought that was how things were.-TheWho87™ 15:18, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

Some pages to be moved back

Going through the 64 games there are some games that could be moved due to them being split for console and handheld.-TheWho87™ 18:51, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon locations

Howdy, I’ve had a bit of a play in regards to one of the Pokémon location pages, more specifically in regards to the Pokémon in the area, working off a modified table (that’s used here Route 204#List of Pokémon) I put together Viridian Forest#Pokémon.

I just want to double check with you if you think its logical to combine them all in one list or to break them down into game generations.

On another note, when I was doing the list of what mon are in what game I used Bulbapedia and on their page their was a template with all the locations in that region and I wanted to check would it be alright to set up one for here and by that I don’t mean copy theirs, would connect up a lot of the locations making it easier to go from one to another.-TheWho87™ 19:01, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Slipknot Darkrai is gone

I'm just dropping by to let you know that Slipknot Darkrai was banned infinitely from the Wikia, which is why he hasn't been around much. At the same time, he claims to be back once he's moved and got a new IP address. He asked me to tell you, Bentendo, and TheWho87 about this, so here I am. Take this news as you will. - BattleFranky202 01:33, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

VG Location

What was wrong with the changes I made to the VG Location template. How I saw it it reduced the coding needed in the infobox by automatically putting the text below the image (rather than now which is next to it which looks wrong and has to be fixed in the infobox) and making the text smaller to show a minor description. I thought it would be more logical reducing the code in the infobox since that was how most of the pages using it were set out and easily removing the coding from the pages was more logical.-TheWho87™ 14:13, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

The reason there was an break originally was because their was code in the image centring it, the fact it had the centring code there made the break so removing that fixed it since it was redundant as it automatically centred in the infobox. In regards to the text size when I was looking through the different pages I saw that it was a mixed bag in regards to the caption text size, some was small some was normal and others didn’t have any, I thought that since the text was small on the majority of the pages that would be the best option to roll out over them all. It wasn’t really to separate it from the others it was more the fact that it was already being used on most of the pages so why not add it automatically to them all. The blank rows is a bad habit I’ve picked up over time doing wikis, I’ll try and cut down on it.-TheWho87™ 11:39, March 9, 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon templates

Since Pokémon character pages are different from most other character pages would you be against me putting together a character template specific to Pokémon yet still in the style of the character template. Main differences I see would be automatically coding in the Pokédex info as well as adding areas for type, species and possibly regional Pokédex numbers. Just want to clear it with you before I give it a go.

Also I’ve put together a Pokédex template with all Pokémon linked and listed by their national numbers, since it would be a big addition adding to all Pokémon pages I wanted to ask before I just added it to them. The template it here Template:National Pokédex.-TheWho87™ 13:47, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

I understand this is a general Nintendo wikia so doesn’t need to go too in depth in one areas however since Pokémon is a key Nintendo franchise then it would be logical to feature enough key information without going into the depth for specialist wikias.
And in regard to the Pokémon infoboxes that I think your talking about I thought the standard was to have them all under their English language names rather than their Japanese ones and since most were made using the lazy page name code that’s why their were problems with images and such. On top of that after a point a lot of Pokémon pages are still pretty basic, a few key pages are full with details but some only really have the bare minimum without notification that it needs expanding so a whole Pokémon update would be a logical move especially with the recent release.
What I’ll do is set up the template and add one of the missing Pokémon with it and if that works well then a Pokémon cleanup could be something logical.-TheWho87™ 12:09, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
You “fixed” the template so I got the impression that it was alright to use hence me fixing a lot of the pages mostly changing those that are still listed under Japanese names to English. And did you not read my comments in saying that the majority of the Pokémon pages have very little information besides an minor paragraph and evolutions I am uniforming them so that their all the same style/layout even if the full information isn’t added right away the uniformed sections are all there, also a lot of those pages have sections blatantly ripped from Bulbapedia and since as you put this isn’t a Pokémon specific wikia then why do we need to have long sections on their psychology and so on. The fact I removed the caption section was 2 points, firstly it was only used on the originals to list the Pokédex information, since that’s not needed anymore its redundant, secondly if its left in the code it increases the gap between the image and the text.-TheWho87™ 16:22, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
Alright I get your point and I'll add in the appropriate sections to my current format, I also think I fixed the problem with the caption section, I've just moved where a hide code ends to hide the break when their isn't anything listed. I'll do a quick backtrack and put in all the required sections back/add them to all the pages I changed to uniform them all.-TheWho87™ 16:44, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
Cool, my main project right now is to firstly add in the new Mon from Black and White as well as cleaning up the ones that are already up making sure their all under their English language names, already came across one which was a double so best to eliminate the chances of that the better.-TheWho87™ 17:13, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

In question..

Was it OK that I created a NintendoWiki: Requests for adminship page? I created it because I thought it would be nice to have a page like that since Gaming Wikia and Mario Wikia has one so I decided to do one by myself. Is that okay? I didn't post my request on. I can prove it. Thanks. Slipknot Darkrai
My apologies sir. I thought it was asking that was unacceptable. I know that admins can make the decision themselves, but I thought that it would be ok to put it up seeing that other wikis do it. Thanks. Slipknot Darkrai
Bentendo didn't say his reply. He asked me to ask you since you and BattleFranky are the new owners of the wiki according to him. I think he doesn't care seeing that you are the new owner of the wiki so it is pretty much your choice. Slipknot Darkrai
Thank you Ville. I plan to post my request on late April/early May when I think I get better at my behavior and my edits and then I will see what you'll say, but I don't know if I feel too good about it. Is that okay? I feel a little bit that you may think I am mature, but still IDK if it is a good decision. Though I will shut up about my sysop powers because I know your answer, no. Thanks. Slipknot Darkrai

Help

Can you help fix the Nintendo Wiki: Requests for adminship page because I feel something is wrong with it and I can't figure out what. Slipknot Darkrai

Changing Pictures

How do you change the pictures of certain files without actually changing their names? I ask this because I found a new, better picture of the Big Reaper and Twinbellows from Kid Icarus: Uprising and I want to replace the old pictures. - BattleFranky202 04:18, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks again for helping me out with the Big Reaper picture thing, but I'm wondering if you could help me out some more. I've been meaning to get around to making articles for other enemies and bosses from the Kid Icarus games, and I still can't access the Game Hiker gallery collection for their original artwork. I mostly want to make articles for enemies that will be in Kid Icarus: Uprising, but I also want to make articles for other notable enemies of the series, if I can. Pictures I'm looking for include:
So, yeah, I'm looking for the enemy's artwork, and a decent image of them, preferably cut from either a screenshot or the trailer, from Kid Icarus: Uprising. I don't know how to do so, myself, so that's why I'm asking you for help. Do you mind? - BattleFranky202 03:02, March 25, 2011 (UTC)
Hey, man, I managed to find scans from the Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters manual.
http://www.flyingomelette.com/kidicarus/kidicarusscans.html
I'd crop some of the pictures myself, but... I'm not sure how. - BattleFranky202 04:51, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

Re:Image names

The names I've been giving the box art images are actually special ID codes unique to each game, which can be found on the box itself.

For example, Open Season's ID is RVL-ROPE-USA.

  • RVL stands for Revolution, the code name for the Wii.
  • The middle four letters are unique to the game, and usually have meaning (OP = Open Season).
  • USA is obviously the region.

Naming the files in this manner keeps file names the same size (16 characters) and prevents naming conflicts.

I apologize for any confusion. --Lord Kennerson 17:04, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

You have a good point. How about I name them "(system)_(name)_(region)"? This would prevent naming conflicts as well. --Lord Kennerson 17:12, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, that would work better. The images would then be able to be alphabetized regardless of what system or region they belong to. I'll name them like that for now on.
On a somewhat-related note, I was thinking about how to display the box art for games that were released on more than one system. I tested out an idea on this page. Using tabs, we can have all the variations of the box art in the same spot, but with only one displayed at a time. --Lord Kennerson 17:23, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

Categories

Would you mind giving me the names of the articles that I added the wrong categories to?4kidsOPfan 02:25, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

I just wanted to know. Not to nag or anything, but do I really have to stop adding pages to categories altogether? I mean, I still want to be able to earn the badges associated with categories.4kidsOPfan 01:59, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

How long did it take you to learn how to use and understand this "difficult system" about categories? 4kidsOPfan 01:35, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

The help pages said that a category is a group of pages with similar topics. Isn't Gloom a Pokemon and from the series? I appreciate your concern, but I think I can figure this out. Maybe I can ask an administrator or someone for help. 4kidsOPfan 19:49, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

In that case, please help me. If I don't want to lose the privelage of adding categories, I'm going to need help learning the concepts and how to use them properly. 4kidsOPfan 19:59, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

Monthly Newsletter

I'd ask Bentendo this, but you said he won't be answering questions now, so I'll just ask you. Do you think we should have something like a monthly newsletter showing different things about Nintendo and the wiki? Some of the other popular wikis have newsletters, and I think we're a popular wiki. What do you think about this?

RE: Pokémon pages

Well that was the format i was using for all the Black and White ones which i had just finished, i wont be going back and fixing them any time soon but will work through the rest then update those when/if i ever get round to them again.

Alright, one thing I have noticed, I’ve just updated the first 3 Pokémon and uploaded a bigger image for each of them since I have put in a 220px size for them but it seems that the old images are still there and their being stretched, that more to do with things my end or is it like that for you and if such more a wiki problem.--TheWho87™ 15:56, April 15, 2011 (UTC)
How about this layout that sort of mixes the best of both parts.
Bulbasaur (フシギダネ, Fushigidane) is one of the Template:PKMNcount species of Pokémon within the series. It is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon that made its first appearance in the first generation games Red and Blue.

Idea for developer/publisher pages

The other week I noticed something that Lord Kennerson put up on updating the list of games sections and especially something he did to have box art alongside the links in the list, it might have been a bit too much and unnecessary for that purpose but I had an idea the other day that could be something that could work on developer/publishers pages as apposed to having just another long list for the games they have made/released. Now I know for some companies it might not be all that logical (say for example Nintendo) but for those companies who didn’t make many games or who only made games for specific systems it might be something a bit different. I made the LJN page under this set up, just to test it by adding all the games they have released for Nintendo consoles and I don’t think its that bad, a big improvement on the common long list-TheWho87™ 12:30, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Links to other Wikis

Hello Ville10, thanks for finishing up the category changes for the Excite series by deleting the old categories. I have an unrelated question though. I'm wondering if users are allowed to add links to other Wikia Wikis that pertain to the subject matter of the article (i.e. adding a link to the Mario Wiki to the Links section of the Mario (series) article). Thanks. Revitalizer 19:50, April 22, 2011 (UTC)

Monster Hunter Tri

Okay, I can understand removal of copied content from Wikipedia, but not the removal of the External Links. In the Article The Sims 3, it has External Links, but not the page for Monster Hunter Tri?

Reply: Before Mario

Now, when I went to the website I have to admit I wasn't expecting much... I can't really describe the rush I felt when I saw what was there though (seeing some of those images, particularly the ones of the original Rabbit Coaster, made my chest hurt). I can honestly not thank you enough. I've been searching for a site like this for ages. It's embarrassing that for the last year I've been searching Japanese sites for images (with no knowledge of the language... I've been using Google Translate with some success) when this site existed this whole time. It is honestly one of the coolest sites I've seen.

I don't think he'd appreciate it if we took his images though, so I'll just link to his site when appropriate. -- Bentendo Talk 15:30, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

I know. I'm still downloading them to my computer in the event that his site goes down someday. Not that I want it to go down, but those are some high quality images and it'd be a shame to see them lost forever. -- Bentendo Talk 16:26, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I was going to tell you about this the other day but I forgot about it. While I don't know of too many websites that focus on Nintendo toys, there is an amazing book that was released last year called the History of Nintendo Volume 1. Also, if you find any more interesting websites, please let me know about them!

Finally, a few weeks ago Kotaku used us as a source on their story on the Laser Clay Shooting System. You can see their article here: LINK. It's not a big deal but I thought it was cool. :) -- Bentendo Talk 15:26, May 23, 2011 (UTC)

Game list pages

Just wanted your view on the new game list pages, rather than having the long list for each region, with the templates for each region and by the years is more logical to put them all onto one page for a one stop for all the links, List of Nintendo 64 games and List of Virtual Boy games are the only fully complete ones so far and I’m planning on finishing up the NES one over the next week doing the last few Japan years and cleaning up a couple of the NA ones, I just wanted to get the ok on putting them all on one page cause it looks simpler and cleaner to me--TheWho87™ 19:16, July 3, 2011 (UTC)
