The Upheaval is an event that takes place shortly after Ganondorf breaks free from his eon long imprisonment. His power causes the Hyrule Castle and the Ruins to rise and created Sky Islands and Chasms all across Hyrule. Link and Zelda, who encountered Ganondorf went missing, with Purah leading search parties all over Hyrule in hopes of finding them.
