Tyrea is an minor antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles. She is an agent of the Bionite Order, working as a subject to the High Entia First Consort. Despite having long wings, Tyrea is not a pure blooded High Entia. She later becomes a supporting character in the Future Connected epilogue of the main game.
She is first seen masked and kneeling before Yumea, ploting against Melia. Tyrea vows to have her killed, and to do whatever she must to achieve that end, but Yumea scoffs at her and says she grows "tired of Tyrea's stupidity." only to be interupted by Lorithia. After Melia's investiture ceremony, Tyrea and Yumea are once again seen together, this time, Yumea order the deaths of the captive party by the Bionite Order. Kallian sees them conspiring, but does not hear their plans.
The High Entia Tomb
At the Ceremony Hall in the High Entia Tomb, Tyrea attacks Melia while she is alone, saying that she has no right to call the First Consort "Mother" and that as a half-Homs, she has no right to the throne. A Solidum Telethia Under Tyrea's control join the Attack but the party saves Melia by defeating the two. After she and the Telethia are defeated, Tyrea's mask is knocked off by the Telethia in its death throes. When Alvis destroys the Telethia, Tyrea take the opportunity of the Telethia's explosion to escape.
Much later, after the events of Mechonis Core, Tyrea can be met during a quest. She is first met unconscious near the gates of the Colony 6. Upon finding her Melia tells the party what she knows about Tyrea's heritage as the child of Yumea, the first Consort. Tyrea herself regains consciousness and confirms this before resting again while showing her disdain for Melia. Once her health is restored she leaves the colony, only to find a Telethia. The party will then witness the Telethia attack the colony's Reconstruction HQ, and follow it to Makna Forest. When the party encounters the Telethia, they initially think that it is a transformed Tyrea, they engage and defeat it. However, Tyrea soon appears unscathed and reveals the Mysterious Telethia was actually Yumea, and thanks them for granting her peace before leaving herself. When asked if they will ever meet again, Dunban states they have the same goals and that their paths will surely cross one day.
In the year following the defeat of Zanza, Tyrea ends up on the Bionis' Shoulder where she intends to find a place to die. She eventually reaches Alcamoth where she still is when the Fog King initiate its first attack. During the chaos, she saves Teelan. She later grows attached to him and become a sort of big sister to him. They try to find a way to turn the Telethia back to normal and create a lab isolated on the shoulder. There she meets back with Melia when the party saves Teelan from the Fog King a second time. She is still in the lab when Gael'gar attacks it and she defends him. The party defeats him but he destroy the lab with fire in an attempt to destroy their research. Melia saves the tome from which their research was based on and put herself into danger. She is saved from the fire but Tyrea scold her harshly as she wakes up. The influence of the Fog King keeps increasing as the rift he is tied to widens. As the strongest person outside of the party, she stays behind as Gran Dell's first line of defense alongside the remaining Homs soldiers as it is assieged by waves of Fogbeasts sent by the Fog King. The party uses this to go gather what remains of the High Entia guards calling themselves the companions and return to Gran Dell in an attack from both side, which finally ends the attack. She gives Melia her Bionite Order Mask, which functions as the key to get the transporters in Alcamoth to work. Once the Fog King is defeated, Tyrea's hostility toward Melia dissipates and she accepts Melia as her Empress and almost her sister. She attends Melia's coronation as her aide.
Tyrea is fought as the Boss of the High Entia Tomb along with the Solidum Telethia. She is at level 38.
