Promo of the marathon
The Twitch Pokémon Marathon is a ten-month-long marathon Pokémon the Series that began on August 27, 2018 at 10 AM PDT featuring the 932 episodes from the first 19 seasons and 16 movies. The stream was broadcast simultaneously in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese on the TwitchPresents channel.
For the first run of the marathon from August 27 to October 28, blocks of 10 to 16 episodes from the original serues and Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire were aired daily from Monday to Thursday. The episodes were re-aired during the day on the main channel as well as on Fridays and Saturdays on the TwitchPresents2 channel. On Sundays, a Pokémon movie was aired at 10 AM PT. The Twitch Presents: Pokémon Badge Collector extension also allowed viewers to catch various Pokémon to earn points during the stream.
For the second run of the marathon from November 22 to December 2 and December 24 to January 3, episodes from the first two seasons and the third through fifth seasons aired over 11 days for each half, with a Pokémon movie shown daily exclusively on the main TwitchPresents channel. The Pokémon Badge Collector extension was not enabled.
For the third run of the marathon February 27 to May 5, a showcase of episodes to promote the Team Up TCG expansion was shown on Pokémon Day, February 27, followed by episodes from Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl, Pokémon the Series: Black and White , and Pokémon the Series: XY from Thursdays to Sundays. The Twitch Presents: Pokémon Badge Collector extension was enabled.
