Tropical Wilds is the first area in Pikmin 3 for the Wii U. It is the area where Alph lands and discovers the Red Pikmin. It is a tropical jungle themed area near a beach with the Sandbelching Meerslug acting as the boss of the area and Shaggy Long Legs serving as a boss optional in the main storyline but required to collect all fruit.
