The Triforce Slash is Link and Toon Link's final smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. After Link comes in possession of the Smash Ball, Link will be able to use. Once he uses it, the victim will be trapped by the Triforce, and is repeatedly slashed by Link. The Triforce Slash returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but however only Toon Link and now Young Link uses it. Link's final smash got replaced with the Ancient Bow and Arrow.

Usage[]

The move is a straight across the stage and hits regardless of horizontal distance. However, the move only hits 17 times if the opponent is directly next to the player dealing an extra 1% to a round 60% for the entire attack. The swings increase in damage and knockback as they go on. The final swing, which is slower than the rest, does the most damage and knockback at about 15% and can KO at relatively low. This is the same for Toon Link's version as well.

Trophy descriptions[]

Link (SSBB)

"Link with a Smash Ball, releasing his ultimate attack. Light flares from the Triforce symbol on the back of his hand and rushes out to meet the enemy he faces. The enemy gets trapped within the glittering Triforce, is quickly cut to shreds, and is launched by the last strike. The attack works on one enemy at a time, so it's best to go after the character in first place."

Toon Link(SSBB)

"Toon Link's Final Smash. Hit an enemy with the light emanating from the Triforce mark on his hand to initiate the move. The enemy will be trapped within the Triforce and be unable to move--Toon Link will then rush in close and carve up his foe at lightning speed. The final blow will break the Triforce prison and send the opponent off the screen."
