Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals (called Transformers: Beast Wars Metal 64 in Japan) is a fighting game for the Nintendo 64.
Gameplay[]
Each character can change between three different modes: a Beast Mode, a Vehicle Mode, and a Robot Mode. Robot Mode is the strongest mode but while in Robot Mode your energy drains slowly, and to recharge you must revert to Beast or Vehicle Modes.
Plot[]
The plot is very different to the show the Maximals battle the Predacons now as Transmetals neither you play as the Maximals or the Predacons.
Development[]
The game was announced in 1998 in Japan they would create a video game that would be a cross between Tekken and Bloody Roar, which features transformation similar to this game, and they had to include the trans metals that weren’t included in the show such as Rhinox, Waspinator, Terrorsaur, and Airazor.
Reception[]
The game was met with negative reception upon release, as GameRankings gave the Nintendo 64 version a score of 48.67%.
