Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! is a 3D platformer game that is based off of the Pixar movie Toy Story 2, released on the Nintendo 64 in November 1999 in North America and March 2000 in Europe. The game was developed by Traveller's Tales and published by THQ in North America and published by Activision in Europe.

Gameplay[]

The game is a 3D platformer where players control Buzz Lightyear to explore and collect a required amount of "Pizza Planet Tokens" to progress. They can be earned by finding enough items, collecting coins, returning missing characters or objects, and defeating bosses. Once collected, players have the option to leave the stage or remain there.

Buzz can attack with his laser, use a spin move, and stomp.

Its gameplay is similar to Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie. This version uses Tim Allen's voice clips, and the cutscenes are still images with captions. The music has been downgraded to fit the Nintendo 64's system limitations.
