Tiny Kong is Dixie Kong's younger sister and is the cousin of Kiddy Kong and Chunky Kong. She is one of the five playable characters of Donkey Kong 64. Tiny is the second female heroine of the series, and unlike all the other young Kongs, she has had a growth spurt. This was due to her creators not wanting her look too much like Dixie, another prominent female character in the Donkey Kong series.

Appearances[]

Donkey Kong 64[]

Just like all the main Kongs of this game, she is imprisoned by the Kremling Krew at the start of the game. Once Donkey Kong frees Diddy Kong, Diddy can go rescue Tiny in the Angry Aztec. Once freed, she joins the cast to fight off the evil K. Rool and free Donkey Kong Island. The abilities she can use are her saxophone slam, as well as becoming very small, warping from a place to another, her feather-bow, and floating through the air using her pigtails. She has the task to collect the purple blueprints for Snide, and can collect purple bananas.

Super Smash Bros. series[]

Tiny Kong was a trophy in the Wii video game Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The following is the trophy description:

"A cute, young Kong in pigtails, a knit cap, and jumbo earrings. In Donkey Kong 64, she could extend her airtime after jumps and fly through the air with helicopter hair. Also a participant in Barrel Blast, her high speed is on full display."

Other appearances[]

Since the main cast of the Kongs were bought from Rare, Tiny, along with Dixie, appeared in Diddy Kong Racing DS, the remake of the first game for the Nintendo 64. She replaces Banjo in the game, while Dixie replaces Conker. This is the first game where she stars in her new “teenage” look.

Tiny Kong is also a star in Donkey Kong Barrel Blast as a playable character, in which she has to be unlocked by one of the Kongs. Tiny has a cameo in the Game Boy Advance remakes of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest, and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble. She also appears in many of Funky Kong’s mini-games and is regularly rescued by Diddy and Dixie.

She also appears in Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii as one of the playable characters and must be unlocked to be playable.
