This War of Mine is a strategy game by 11 bit studios for the Nintendo Switch with a retail release by Deep Silver. The game has the player scavenge a city and try to help people to survive a wartorn city. The version on the Switch includes all the downloadable content between The Little Ones expansion and the episodic This War of Mine Stories content.
Gameplay[]
The game has the player control a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city. As such, they must deal with the necessities of food and water as well as medicine and keeping up a hideout. Out in the open, the player is subject to attacks from snipers and other scavengers. During the day, the player is maintaining their hideout and other survivors but, at night, the player can select someone among their group to scavenge for supplies among a variety of locations. The player will also have to make a number of life-or-death decisions over the course of the game, making the player choose whether to sacrifice the lives of the few to try and make the rest of the group survive.
