The Princess and the Frog is a game for Wii and Nintendo DS released in November of 2010 that is based on the 2009 Disney animated movie of the same name.

Gameplay[]

In the Nintendo Wii version "The Princess and the Frog video game takes players on an exciting journey through New Orleans with characters from the film, including Tiana, Prince Naveen, Dr. Facilier, Ray, Mama Odie, and many others. The Princess and the Frog for Wii includes more than 25 mini-games designed for 1-4 players so that the whole family can join the fun and interact with all the main characters of the movie as they help Tiana pursue her dreams. Players can make The Princess and the Frog their own with customization activities that include performing and dancing to music, cooking New Orleans style and dressing up Tiana in multiple outfits.

In the Nintendo DS version is a platformer game where the player gets to use a stylus and microphone blowing in order to cook food in the mini game. Also you can touch music notes. Also Tiana is a frog for most of the game as she is collecting items and dodging shadow spirits and you can have Ray the firefly attack shadow spirits and morph them into a lilypad, a mushroom. And a peg in order for Tiana to get to higher places.

  • The Princess and the Frog Wii version takes place right after the events of the Princess and the Frog film.
  • Dr. Facilier is a cameo character who is there to cause trouble in the mini game events.
  • The Wii version has characters in CGI models with some 2D animation background stills.
  • Reggie, Darnell, and Two Fingers who escaped in the boat in the film later apologized to Tiana for trying to eat her.
  • The Nintendo DS version takes place during the events of The Princess and the Frog film.
  • Dr. Facilier is the final boss in the Nintendo DS game.
