The Oregon Trail is a DSiWare game released on December 28, 2009. It was released in North America.

Gameplay

Players take place in Willamette Valley in Oregon. There are many types of things to do before they die.

Types of things to do before you're graved

Hunting: In the thing, you hunt for wild animals in the game. In the game, a character must hunt to get pounds of food from the animals. Animals, like Deer are found only in two seperate sections. The Elk is found in the western section while the Deer is found in the eastern section. A Bear was between most animals. The Bison is the slowest animal you could hunt. Rabbits and Squirrels are very fast in the game.

Taking Care of Oregon: In Oregon, a character should not take the wrong path as it will make them lose pounds of food. If you're losing pounds of food, your health gets very poor and you should choose the right path. If your health is very poor, you get a disease and you die. You can cross the river before your wagon tips over and your wagon is very wet and some of your party will drown and survive.

Dying

You and your party die from these diseases, such as a snakebite. If your health is very poor and your oxen die, the game sends you to a funeral. If you lose all of your party, you lose some water and you lose all your food and you get a disease. It will say "Player has a disease" and "Player has died" and the oxen take you to a funeral. Then on your gravestone, it will say "Here lies Player". You can write anything on your tombstone that you like. After you die, you'll have to start the game again.
