The Hobbit, also known as The Hobbit: The Prelude to the Lord of the Rings, was a 3D platformer released on the GameCube, GBA, Xbox, PlayStation 2, PC. The GameCube version was developed by Inevitable Entertainment, and Saffire developed the Game Boy Advance version. Both versions were published by Sierra Entertainment.
Gameplay[]
The game is a 3D platformer. In the beginning of the game you start out with only rocks and a walking stick. The rocks are your long range attract and your walking stick is your short range attack. In your game, you an buy stuff such as Keys, Health Potions, Rock ammo ex. There are also a lock piking treasure chest minigame. In this minigame, you are trying to open the chest. The way that it works is by hitting the correct button, at the correct time, before the time runs out. One of the main mechanics in the game is sneaking.
