The Alliance Alive is a role-playing game released by FuRyu. It acts as the successor to The Legend of Legacy with a similar dev team with the goal of balancing gameplay based on player feedback.
Gameplay[]
The game is a classic role-playing game with a cast of 9 characters, battling against the world conquering Daemons. The main cast travels the world, initially on foot but, they later get vehicles and gain access to the full world. As they travel, the party unites the world via the Guild Towers. Building the different types gives buffs as characters join the party. The towers can communicate with each other over the course of the game which allows the towers to gain experience and abilities.
The game's combat is similar to The Legend of Legacy. The game is turn-based with the characters arranged in three-by-five grid formations with formations giving abilities. Actual magic can only be used by Daemon characters but, certain weapons have magic-like effects. The game has an ignitition state that increases attack power at a cost of skillpoint consumption. In this state, they can also perform a Final Strike that can be boosted if the characters next to them are of the same class.
Skills are tied to the weapon type and are learned through certain weapon usage. Skill increase through usage resulting in "Awakenings". Enemies on the world map are represented as symbols with battles back to back. Successive battles result in greater skill growth. There are also Talents which are determined through spending Talent points after battle. These talents increase certain character attributes like regen, weapon skills, and buffs on the world map.
