Tetris Effect: Connected is a block-dropping arcade-styled puzzle game developed by Japanese studios Monstars and Resonair and published by Enhance Games. The game was released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021.
Gameplay[]
As in the original Tetris game, the player must place tetrominos into a playfield to create complete lines, which are then cleared from the playfield. Tetris Effect: Connected adds themes and music across thirty different stages with gameplay tied to the beat of the music. A new "Zone" mechanic allows players to "stop time", allowing the player to clear more than 4 lines at once, which is more than what is possible in conventional Tetris games. The game also includes a meta-game leveling system that leads to new challenges for players as they progress.
