For the past decade, there's been a fairly active unlicensed NES game development scene. Is there a cutoff for when a game can be included or not? Are we excluding everything since 2007, such as Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril and Twin Dragons and Haunted: Halloween '86 (The Curse of Possum Hollow) and the Action 53 series? --Tepples (talk) 23:34, December 15, 2018 (UTC)

No, but there should be a distinction between games that just wanted to circumvent Nintendo's licensing and homebrew games or simply a distinction between the pre-2000 ones and the post 2000 since that generally covers the different scenes. Astrogamer (talk) 03:51, December 16, 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. Dividing each console's unlicensed cart library into a commercial era and a homebrew era can work. Now I just need to ask each console's homebrew community to find a proper cutoff date. --Tepples (talk) 18:25, October 23, 2019 (UTC)
