Nintendo

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is a rhythm game released in 2022 by Bandai Namco. It is the third entry in the Taiko no Tatsujin for the Nintendo Switch. The game features a greater focus on multiplayer with new mechanics in the 4 player multiplayer. The game features 76 songs in the base game with hundreds of additional songs available in the Taiko Music Pass over time.

Gameplay[]

The gameplay is generally the same as previous Taiko games. The game has the player hit the inputs in time with the song's beats. Rhythm Festival is the first 4th generation console game, which notably changed the combo scoring mechanics.

Beyond the standard Taiko mode, there is a story mode and the party mode. Party mode consists of two main multiplayer modes; Don-chan Band and the Great Drum Toy War. Don-chan Band has each player perform a different tone that when combined, produce the music. Great Drum Toy War is a competitive multiplayer mode where each player can choose their own toy with their own abilities
