Super Slap Shot is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was released in North America and Japan, but not Europe.
Gameplay[]
The game is a single- and multi-player game. It has an exhibition mode (in which only one game is played) and a tournament mode. There are also options to test skills in fighting and a shootout.
During a game, over ten pages of stats can be viewed. A password system is used to save and continue games.
As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.
Teams[]
Some of the teams to choose from are only represented by cities, such as Montreal, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and New York. The game also included some international teams as well. Some of them include the United States, Canada, Russia, Finland, and Sweden. Other countries who, in real-life, aren't known for hockey that are represented in the game include France, Britain, China, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and Egypt.
