Super Metroid is the third installment in the Metroid series of games. It is also the only one on the SNES that features Samus Aran, other than a cameo in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Super Metroid was criticized to be the greatest Metroid game of all time. It is currently ranked 1st on Thejadedgamer.net, Dorkclub.com, and Electronic Gaming Monthly list (2002). Super Metroid was a big impact and also recieved a Players Choice award.
