Super Mario Brothers 2 is a game released in North America in 1988 staring the Mario Brothers and is considered the North American sequel to Super Mario Brothers. The game was eventually released in Japan as Super Mario USA in 1992.
This game was not the original Japanese Super Mario Brothers 2, but is instead a remake of the game Doki Doki Panic with the Mario cast thrown into the game. The game also features a brand new villian, Wart.
The game stars Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool as playable characters. This is the first game where Peach or Toad are playable characters.
This game was released as apart of the Super Mario All-Stars game for the Super NES and later in an enchanced version called Super Mario Advance for the Gameboy Advance.
