Super Battleship: The Classic Naval Combat Game is a third-party Super Nintendo Entertainment System video game by Synergestic Software and Mindscape, based on the board game Battleship by Milton Bradley.

Super Battleship[]

The first game is a real-time turn based strategy game, which features sixteen separate missions the player has to undergo and a time limit. The main ships vary between missions, but generally involve a Patrol Boats (PT), Destroyer Escorts (DE), Destroyers (DD), Light Cruisers (CL), Heavy Cruisers (CA), Battle Cruisers (BC) and Battleships (BB) as well as Merchant Ships as either targets or escorts. The player factions' ships are colored white and blue, while the enemy faction is colored red and black. Submarines are exclusively used by the enemy and are a constant threat, requiring the use of depth charges to dispose of them. The missions are as follows:
