Subrosians are a race in the Zelda series, first appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. They are a secretive dwarven people, native to Subrosia, a subterranean lava world located under the kingdom of Holodrum. Subrosians seldom interact with the surface world and even have their own currency system in the form of Ore Chunks. They love to dance, mine, smith and take lava baths. Their smithing in particular rivals the Goron's as they are able to upgrade Link's shield once he finds suitable ore. If the player has data from a linked game in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages Subrosians will start to appear in the land of Labrynna.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages[]
The majority of Subrosians live in Subrosia Village. They are very secretive, and therefore always wear full-body robes keeping their physical identities private to all but themselves.
As their habitat suggests, Subrosians enjoy dancing, as evident from their Dance Hall, and partaking in lava baths, which means that they are lava proof. Their volcanic climate and their general isolation from mainstream society led to their use of Ore Chunks as currency in place of the Hyrulean Rupee, as it is more abundant in their area of living. Subrosian mainly appear in Oracle of Seasons but they can also appear in Oracle of Ages if the two games are linked. They will then play a role in multiple Secret-transfers between linked Games.
