The Stylus (a.k.a. Styli) is an accessory that comes with every Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS, New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL, New Nintendo 2DS XL, and Wii U (Although it is possible to purchase another stylus from a Third-Party company if the original was misplaced.)

Description

The Stylus looks like a pen. It is located at a specific area of the DS, depending on which model. It helps players have more accuracy in using the bottom half of the console, the touch screen, as the keyboard is small or other cases.

The stylus of a 3DS looks slightly more modernized and has metal for the shaft of it, unlike the other stylus in the past DS consoles. The 3DS stylus can be extended by holding the back end of it and pulling it backwards, effectively making a longer and therefore more comfortable gaming experience. (up to 100mm). The DSi XL has an improved version of stylus known as a 'Touch Pen'.

Not only that, but it is also used to make shapes e.g. moving stylus up/down/right/left (this movement is also known as 'rub'). But the stylus can easily get lost, so take care of it, especially if the DS is near small children, pets or something that 'threatens' DS. If someone bought a 3DS, the stylus looks a little bit similar or different. It is shaped like a short crayon. You can extend it by holding the black thing at the end of it and moving it backwards (up to 100mm). If someone bought a DSi XL, there is a brand new, improved version of stylus known as '[[Touch Pen]]'. A 3DS's stylus is made with some sort of metal which makes it very, very shiny unlike all others which is made with different sort of material.
