Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is the first new entry in the Story of Seasons series for the Nintendo Switch. The game is influenced by Stardew Valley and is about constructing the player's farm from the wilderness.
Gameplay[]
The game is similar to the previous games in that the player gets a lot of land to construct their farm, raise animals, and eventually find romance. Unlike the previous entries, the game starts the player off with a run-down shack in the middle of the woods instead of a decrepit farm. The player has to use materials from taking down trees and reclaiming the wilderness to construct their farm. Over the course of the game, the player will encounter wild animals that they can domesticate for their own farm in addition to the typical cows and sheep.The player can decorate their farm, however, they like with many craftable options for furniture and decorations.
