The Stone of Agony is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is a magic stone shaped like the Nintendo 64 Rumble Pak that vibrates when it detects a hidden cave or other secret nearby. It acts as an in-universe explanation for the effects, when a Rumble Pak is inserted in the Nintendo 64, and when the Stone of Agony is equipped, the controller will rumble when a secret is nearby. Coupled with the Mask of Truth and Lens of Truth, these three items will give Link access to a multitude of areas that would be nearly impossible to find otherwise.
Trivia[]
- This item does not do anything in the Wii Virtual Console version of Ocarina of Time as that version of the game does not emulate rumble.
- Due to the 3DS having no rumble feature, this item was replaced with the Shard of Agony in Ocarina of Time 3D.
