The Stellar type (Japanese: ステラタイプ Stella type) is a type that exists only in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Unlike other Pokémon typess, no Pokémon or moves bear it naturally, being exclusive to the Terastallized state of a Pokémon. Stellar-type moves are super effective against other Tera Pokémon.
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, it was revealed that the Stellar type and the Terastal phenomenon were created by Terapagos. Pokémon gain the Stellar Tera Type due to the influence of the crystals found in the Area Zero Underdepths.

No Pokémon is naturally Stellar-type. All Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet except Ogerpon can gain the Stellar type through Terastallization, but defensively, they are treated as their base type.
