First partner Pokémon

Starter Pokémon are Pokémon that you must choose between in each Pokémon video game. In each game, you must choose between three Pokémon. One will be water, another grass, and another fire (excluding Pikachu in Pokémon Yellow). It should be noted that Bulbasaur, while typically known as a grass Pokémon, is also a poison type as well. When leveling up, some Starter Pokémon will gain a second type as well, such as Charizard becoming a fire and flying type and Torterra becoming a Grass and Ground type.

	Cyndaquil	Gold / Silver / Crystal, HeartGold / SoulSilver	Fire	155	A Fire type Pokemon that has Fire coming out of it. It can let the fire from its back come in and out.
