Star Wars is a sidescrolling video game based on the Star Wars franchise. It was developed and published by Namco for the Nintendo Famicom in Japan in early December 1987.

Plot[]

The plot of this game is similar to the original 1977 movie of the same name but with some creative differences.

Gameplay[]

The game is a side scrolling adventure game Luke uses his lightsaber as his main weapon, taking down enemies and beating them up. Occasionally he will fight bosses that are enemies disguised as Darth Vader.

The final part of the game features Luke Skywalker's X Wing against the Death Star to destroy it like in the movie.

Inspired by the master sister video game Alex Kidd , Namco working on a Star Wars game George Lucas had the team up with the company
