Star Ocean(JP) is an action role-playing game that was released for the Super Famicom in 1996. It was developed by tri-Ace and published by Enix. It was never released on the NES in other territories.

On December 5, 2019, a remake (Star Ocean First Departure R) was released for the Nintendo Switch.
