The Spotty Bulbear is a different kind of Bulborb in the Pikmin series. In Pikmin, it also slept and woke up when you attacked it, just like a Spoted Bulborb. In Pikmin 2, this creature did not even sleep at all. It seems like all other bulborbs have a "area zone" or a place they can't walk out of. The Bulbear can walk anywear, making it hard to defeat. He can make the Dwarf Bulbears follow itself, if it gets close enough to them. After you kill this hard monster, it will regain health, when it's health gets full again, he will come back alive and cause trouble again. It can be found above ground in Perplexing Pool after day 30, along with the Beady Long Legs, and under ground in a few places. In Hole of Heroes, there is a sublevel 9, this has all of the bulborbs, including bulbears. (This does not include Bulbmin, they are found on sublevel 8). It is found in other places also. He can also be called a Spotty bulbear.

Notes

Reel notes

"This rare species of bulborb has a certain indefatigability."

Olimar's Notes

"A midsize subspecies within the grub-dog family, the spotty bulbear's unique feeding habits set it apart from other grub-dogs. The spotty bulbear patrols a set path searching for prey, instead of passively feeding on creatures that wander into a limited territorial range. When entering bulbear habitat, it is wise to proceed with extreme caution until the bulbear's patrol path can be clearly identified."

Louie's Notes

"For an unrivaled green curry, peel away the spotty bulbear's skin, pulverize the juicy innards, and stew until curiously fragrant."
