The Skitterling Family is a family of plant-like creatures in the Pikmin series. They usually are motionless until the Pikmin or the captains get too close to them.
Desiccated Skitter Leaf/Rus mortifeuillea[]
The Desiccated Skitter Leaf is a Skitterling similar to a dead leaf in appearance. They have long mandible-like arms that they use to grab and eat Pikmin. They are extremely hostile and move around rapidely while trying to eat the most Pikmin they can. They are afraid of captains and if one bump into them, they will start to run around in a state of confusion. They can however be killed in one hit if a Pikmin is thrown directly on their back.
Skitter Leaf/Rus pseudoarbicans[]
The Skitter Leaf is a Skitterling similar to a green leaf in appearance. It is completly harmless and use its camouflage to avoid predator but if a captain or a Pikmin get too close to it, it will try to run away from them. It is also shown to be able to breath underwater. It can be killed in one hit if a captain throw a Pikmin directly on its back.
