Shockman (JP) is a platformer video game developed by Masaya Games. Originally released for the TurboGrafx-16/PC-Engine in 1991 in Japan as well in North America in 1992. Eventually the game was re-released for the Wii and Wii U Virtual Console. This was the second game of the Kaizō Chōjin Schbibinman series also the first and only game to released for the western market.

Gameplay

Shockman plays very differently from the previous title. Swordplay has been eliminated and is replaced by a ranged weapon much like Mega Man's Mega Buster. The world map, upgrades, and hostages have also been removed from the game. There are also now two side-scrolling shooter stages. Additionally, jump control has been altered.
