Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson (JP) is the 2014 sequel to the 2012 game Senran Kagura Burst. It is much larger and looks a lot better than the original, and also now features co-op in which several new attacks focus on it.
Gameplay[]
The game now plays in a bit more 3D plane. The player also now has a partner that allows special tag-team attacks.
There is a special ability called Meiken added where the girl strips her clothes giving her more attack and speed at the risk of dying a lot easier. The girl also gain unlimited use of Secret Ninja Arts and all attacks have a drain property to restore health. It can only be activated with a full scroll meter and it will gradually drain hitpoints.

The game was first revealed in January 2014 during a livestream.
DLC[]
So far there have been 3 DLC packs for the game plus a DLC character, Murasame. Each contains one.
Waistdeep[]
This DLC includes a special mode where the characters have shrunk as well as hairstyles, clothes and accessories. It is sold at 810 yen.
Hipster[]
This DLC includes a special mode where the characters play in a sidescrolling shooter style as well as hairstyles, clothes and accessories. It is sold at 810 yen.
Burst[]
This DLC includes a special plot where Mirai gains breasts while others lose theirs as well as hairstyles, clothes and accessories. It is sold at 810 yen.
Reception[]
Famitsu gave this game a 31 (8/8/8/7) out of 40.
The game sold 46,492 units in its first week, down from both the original and its expansion.
