Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is a puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U in the Scribblenauts series. The game's major addition is the inclusion of DC Comics characters and objects as well as a plot revolving the Justice League.

Gameplay[]

The game plays much like its predecessor, Scribblenauts Unlimited, with the game being divided into worlds with several simple puzzles in these worlds plus missions that take the current world put it in a particular situation that needs objects to be solved. These worlds are based on various DC Comics locales.

The main addition is the inclusion of almost every character from DC Comics which comes to a total of over 2000. These characters can be further modified with adjectives like any other object and various iterations of characters like Green Lantern and Batman are included. The game also allows players to write in team names and make all the members of a team appear. For instance, the player can write Justice League and get all the members of the main team including Batman, Superman, Cyborg, and Aquaman.

The game also features a full-featured co-op mode called Sidekick mode in the Wii U version with a second player able to use a Wiimote to point at a character and become them. As this character, they have access to that characters abilities. Maxwell can also get powers by purchasing costumes in the Batcave.

Reception[]

GN gave it a 9.1, saying it "is a super way to exercise your mind as well as your love of DC characters."
