The Screw Attack is an attack found in the Metroid series, first appearing in the NES classic Metroid. The emblem of the screw attack happens to be the entire emblem of the series. It looks like a sphere with a lightning bolt through it, and is very well known.
When you come in possession of the Screw Attack, you'll be able to somersault in the air while producing electricity, thus attacking and probably killing any enemies that Samus Aran touches. It was both an attack of Samus' and an item in the Super Smash Bros. series.
