Nintendo

Sanrio is a Japanese entertainment company that designs, licenses, and manufactures products belonging to the Kawaii (cute) subculture. Famous franchises under the brand include Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Kiki and Lala, Pompompurin, and Kerokerokeroppi among others.

Aside from Nintendo occasionally being licensed by them to release multiple games under the overall Sanrio franchise, it has also done collaborations with Sanrio via their own game franchise Animal Crossing with the aforementioned six series in the games Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp (not counting Pocket Camp Complete). New Leaf and New Horizons requires specialized Amiibo cards containing six characters that represented the various Sanrio franchises (the Gorilla Rilla for Hello Kitty, the Bear Cub Marty for Pompompurin, the Rabbit Toby for Kerokerokeroppi, the Deer Chelsea for My Melody, the Elephant Chai for Cinnamoroll, and the Sheep Etoile for Kiki and Lala, respectively), while Pocket Camp required time-limited collaborations to acquire the villagers as well as any furniture (the latter via fortune cookies due to the gacha mechanics of Pocket Camp).
